Vyepti is a prescription medication used to prevent migraine headaches in adults.
This medication belongs to a group of drugs called humanized monoclonal antibodies. It works by blocking calcitonin gene-related peptide, or CGRP, a substance in your brain that is thought to play a role in triggering migraine.
Vyepti is given directly into a vein (IV) every 3 months. The infusion lasts 30 minutes.
Common side effects include stuffy nose, scratchy throat and allergic reactions.
