Reblozyl is a prescription medication used to treat anemia (low red blood cells) in adults with beta thalassemia (a blood disorder that inhibits the production of hemoglobin) or certain myelodysplastic syndromes. Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are conditions that can occur when the blood-forming cells in the bone marrow become abnormal. This leads to low numbers of one or more types of blood cells.

Reblozyl belongs to a group of drugs called erythroid maturation agents. It works by helping red blood cells mature.

Reblozyl comes in an injectable form to be given under your skin (subcutaneous) in the upper arm, thigh or stomach (abdomen) by your healthcare provider.

Common side effects include tiredness, headache, bone, muscle and joint pain.
