Libtayo is a prescription medication used to treat metastatic cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC).

Libtayo belongs to a group of drugs called monoclonal antibodies. It works by blocking a protein called PD-1 on certain immune cells called T-cells. This protein helps cancer cells avoid being found and destroyed by the body’s immune system. Blocking the PD-1 protein helps the immune system recognize the cancer cells and attack them.

This medication is available in an injectable form to be given directly into a vein (IV) by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects of Libtayo include tiredness, rash, and diarrhea.
