Dalvance is a prescription medication used to treat acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections (ABSSSI) caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

Dalvance belongs to a group of drugs called lipoglycopeptide antibiotics. Dalvance works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

Dalvance is available in an injectable form to be given directly into a vein (IV) by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects of Dalvance include nausea, headache and diarrhea.
